Allez Allez Plonge
Feast on Recliffe roundabout, Bristol City Centre.
Organised by: Elise Briccolani, Sophie Burns and Laurie Lax (Sondryfolk) for Bristol Biennial 2014

Short story: There was food, there was drink, there was music. The rest was top secret!

Long story: 20 ‘spoon-ticket’ holders were given instructions via the AAP hotline and split into three groups and meeting places: Thomas Chatterton’s House, St. Mary Redcliffe Church and the Control Room, forming a neat Bauhaus-esque triangle around our circular destination – an inner city wilderness, an island, in the form of a roundabout. They were instructed to dress in smart black, with a bold splash of red, yellow or blue according to their party.

Reds, Blues and Yellows arrived in a staggered fashion and were met with a glass of prosecco and canapes, before a night of eating and music commenced.

We owe a huge thanks to: Arlet for musical horderves, Bristol Biennial, John Castley the chef, Leonie Evans for singing, Katie & Kim’s Kitchen our 'ticket vendors', Thomas Ling who designed our menus, Johnathan Newman and Alice Vandeleur-Boorer the security, Holly Mclean and Sammy Hallett the waiters,’Scrappy’ from Beetroot café, Aiste Stancikaite the filmmaker (click here to see her film of this event), Stephanie Elizabeth Third photography, St. Werburgs City Farm for furniture lending, and all of our guests for taking the plonge with us!
