Bad Ventriloquist
(Dårlig Buktaler i norsk) at the Black Box Teater is a live installation composed of audio, subtitles and a sock puppet (2019)

Throughout the night, three twenty-minute episodes were performed. The work is developed out of personal research around the voice and where it intersects with gender, class and entertainment. Audience members were invited into an intimate space of listening and reading that increased with confusion as the night went on (and as the sock got tired).

Bad Ventriloquist was produced for the event Waiting for the Sun at Black Box Teater in Oslo – a twelve hour event curated by Anne-Cécile Sibué in collaboration with Mette Edvardsen, Ida Holthe Lid and Pedro Gómez-Egaña. Other artsits included Camilla Vatne Barratt-Due & Tropical Contact High, Stephen O´Malley, Itziar Okariz, Beatrice Guttormsen, Durga Bishwokarma, Mette Edvardsen, Els van Riel, Marianne Skjeldal and Sara Wegge.
